Our comprehensive 12-point Up to Speed Service is recommended for pianos that have gone 10+ years without proper maintenance. This thorough service addresses a multitude of issues that arise from a long-term lack of care, getting your piano back into optimal playing condition. Clients will be advised if this rebuild service is necessary for their instrument, or if a referral to another technician is more appropriate.
How to know this service might be for you:
• Your piano hasn't been tuned for 10 or more years
• You aren't sure how long it's been since the piano was tuned
• It was a "free" piano
• It was left by the curb
• It was left behind in the home you recently purchased
This service includes:
• Evaluate the piano and discuss any repairs
• Major pitch correction
• Fine-tuning to concert pitch
• Clean the interior of the piano
• Clean under the keys
• Clean and lubricate key pins
• Ease key bushings to eliminate sticky keys Minor voicing and regulation adjustments.
• Clean keytops and level keys as needed.
Please Note:
Replacement of strings broken during tuning is not included in the fee. While every effort is made to minimize the breaking of strings, no technician can control whether or not a string will break.
